TWENTY-NINE climate campaigners who were arrested after hijacking a train bound for Drax Power Station have been charged by police.
The activists stopped the coal train at West Bank near Carlton on June 13 using a red flag before boarding and chaining themselves to it.
British Transport Police today confirmed the campaigners, from London and Manchester, have been charged with obstructing the railway. They are due before town magistrates on August 18.
