AFTER Saturday's no show, the Robins made up for that poor performance with a superb display on Tuesday against last season's champions to move up into second place in the table.
Changes to the side were inevitable, with Bob Lyon handing James McDaid and Michael Sides debuts and recalling Andrew Dawson.

Steven Lyon started up front alongside Sean Gorman and put in a tremendous show of forward play, proving a constant threat throughout the 90 minutes.

Steve Holt hit the post for the visitors in a lively first half that featured some flowing football and tenacious tackling from both sides. After half time, every Selby player was at their best as they began to pile on the pressure. But it was to no avail as keeper Nicholson mopped up shots and free kicks.

That was until 79 minutes as the breakthough finally arrived when McDaid struck with a 20-yard effort that found the net courtesy of a slight deflection.

The goal lifted everyone, and four minutes later the points were made safe when Lyon capped a superb performance by breaking clear and rounding the keeper after Brenton Leister's throughball.

The Robins entertain Nostell MW on Saturday, kick off 3pm.
